Mandate
The E+E network is committed to improve human development and inclusive and sustainable economic development in line with the SDGs. To achieve these ambitious goals, it promotes opportunities for basic education and vocational skills training, supports private and financal sector development and increases engagements with the private sector. The network contributes to identifying the most pertinent ideas, experiences and projects, and shares best practices and lessons learned.
Mission
The Economy and Education networks' mission is to promote knowledge sharing and learning among SDC staff and partners, provide operational advise in the field of inclusive, equitable and quality education, vocational skills development, private and financial sector development and private sector engagement. It further seeks to define good practices and enhance policy dialogue.

E+E in Swiss international cooperation
The section’s role is to promote policy dialogue, set norms, provide advisory services to all SDC units, develop strategic partnerships, and ensure institutional capacity development in the field of economy and education.
International Cooperation Strategy 2025–28
The IC strategy focuses on two objectives of human development, migration and health, Education plays a key role as it contributes to social cohesion and peaceful coexistence through the promotion of dialogue, art and culture.
