Digital crime has more than doubled since 2020
Neuchâtel, 24.3.2025 - In 2024, the police registered a total of 563 633 offences under the Swiss Criminal Code (SCC). This represents an increase of about 8% over the previous year. Broken down by type of crime, the figures show a continuation of the strong upward trend in digital crime seen in recent years. There were 8% more offences against property than in 2023. Serious violent offences increased for the third year in a row (+19%). These are some of the findings of the Police Crime Statistics of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
